About Connie J. Judge
Connie blazed the trail in 2010, becoming the first African American woman in the United States to write a certified 600-hour Trichology Healthcare Curriculum. Trichology is the biological, scientific knowledge about hair loss and scalp disorders.

She is the first African American woman to own a Trichology Training Institute in the United States, which received authorization in 2010 through the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission for individuals to earn a diploma and certification in Trichology Healthcare, and how to specialize in hair loss restoration.

Connie is known in the beauty industry as a modern-day Madam CJ Walker, as her work life parallels the historical works of Madame CJ Walker and Madame Malone. She has more than 38 years of experience in the beauty business and education. Connie has educated thousands about hair loss and scalp disorders and has graduated students worldwide through quality education in Trichology Healthcare.

During the health pandemic crises, Connie brought awareness to the escalating global hair-loss pandemic due to poor health, poor diet and nutrition, anxiety, and, most significantly, the proliferation of hair loss in Black women caused by mechanical damage from hair weaving, braids, (causing traction alopecia), and scalp abuse from chemical products.

Connie travels globally as an international beauty industry speaker, promoting her Kom’-ay Hair Care Product line and educating consumers about the millions of Black women and young girls going bald and experiencing scalp disorders and diffusing hair loss in the Black community.

Connie received several Proclamations from the City of Stockbridge, GA, and a Resolution from the Georgia State Capitol for becoming the first African American woman to own a Trichology Institute in the U.S., an authorized college through the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission. The Trichology course offers beauty professionals and medical professionals a diploma to become certified trichologists specializing in hair loss restoration and healthcare.

From meager beginnings in Americus, Georgia, the adopted child of a preacher, his wife, and five siblings, Connie survived juvenile delinquency, teenage motherhood, and low self-esteem to rise to Founder and President of the National Trichology Training Institute. She is the proud mother of three remarkable children and six amazing grandchildren.
